Welcome to Birmingham City Council's Data Factory. This is the place where organisations in the West Midlands Combined Authority can publish their open data.

This site is administered by Digital Birmingham, Birmingham City Council and we aim to publish a range of data that you can download and reuse, under the terms of the Open Government Licence for public sector information (version 2.0).

Open Data is as much part of the economic agenda as it is of being transparent about an organisations business. We believe that Open Data can generate many benefits such as:

  • Giving you direct access to data to build your own opinion
  • Allows datasets to be combined to create new insights
  • Enables sharing of data
  • Allows application developers to use real data
